Human
Support Services (HSS) is pleased to announce Dana Barrows, LCPC as our new
Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). Dana joined HSS on May 21
and holds a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood
University. Dana resides in Randolph County and enjoys the
outdoors, reading and horseback riding. She comes to HSS with a
successful and long history of delivering services to individuals and families
with mental illness and developmental disabilities. Dana will assist in
the development and implementation of treatment plans for approximately 20
mentally ill residential clients. She will be supervised by Tanya Durrer,
RN. HSS provides 24-hour supervision to nearly 40 developmentally delayed
or mentally ill clients.
The
mission of Human Support Services (HSS) is to provide high quality,
comprehensive services to Monroe County residents with mental health or
substance needs, or developmental disabilities. HSS is a private,
non-profit community resource founded in 1973, providing confidential
COA-accredited services. Thanks to the United Way of Greater St. Louis
and the local Monroe County Community Mental Health Funding Board (H.B. 708),
