Human
Support Services (HSS) is pleased to announce the hire of April Jones as a new
substance abuse counselor. April joined HSS on August 25 and holds
a Master’s of Counseling degree from Webster University. Previously she
worked in other mental health settings as a chemical dependency counselor,
community support specialist, and case manager. April and her family
reside in Belleville. She enjoys sewing, couponing, and swimming.
She will be providing substance abuse assessments, DUI evaluations, Level 1
groups, IOP groups, and individual counseling to clients needing substance
abuse treatment. April will be supervised by Clinical Director Julie
Ruckman, LCSW.
The
mission of Human Support Services (HSS) is to provide high quality,
comprehensive services to Monroe County residents with mental health or
substance needs, or developmental disabilities. HSS is a private,
non-profit community resource founded in 1973, providing confidential
COA-accredited services. Thanks to the United Way of Greater St. Louis
and the local Monroe County Community Mental Health Funding Board (H.B. 708),
