Human Support Services (HSS) is pleased to announce the hire of Michele Bowen as our Supported Employment Coordinator. Michele joined HSS on August 11 and holds a BS in Education from Missouri Baptist University. Previously she worked at the Fox C-6 School District as a special education teacher. Michele and her family reside in Columbia and she enjoys watching baseball, football and hockey as well as reading, dancing and karaoke. She will be working with local businesses to assist clients in finding ideal jobs. Michele will be supervised by Day Training Supervisor, Debi Heck.
The mission of Human Support Services (HSS) is to provide high quality, comprehensive services to Monroe County residents with mental health or substance needs, or developmental disabilities. HSS is a private, non-profit community resource founded in 1973, providing confidential COA-accredited services. Thanks to the United Way of Greater St. Louis and the local Monroe County Community Mental Health Funding Board (H.B. 708), HSS can set fees that are affordable.
