ANNE KING, MSW, LCSW - DIRECTOR OF RESIDENTIAL AND DAY TRAINING

Human Support Services (HSS) is grateful for the many years of faithful service the late Deborah H. West devoted to our agency.  As we move forward and fill her position, we are pleased to announce Anne King, MSW, LCSW as our new Director of Residential and Day Services.  She will also serve as the agency’s Corporate Compliance Officer.  Anne joined HSS on February 18 and holds a Master of Social Work degree from St. Louis University.  Previously she worked at St. Vincent Home for Children in St. Louis, MO as well as Hoylelton Youth and Family Services in Hoyleton, IL and Scott Air Force Base Mental Health Clinics.  She is also a licensed child welfare specialist as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  Anne comes to HSS with a successful and long history of both direct service to individuals and families with developmental disabilities and mental health needs, as well as administration and management of programs and services.  She is passionate about assisting others in reaching their full potential.

Anne will be overseeing the operations of the residential program, day training program/sheltered workshop, as well as housing and maintenance.  She will directly supervise a staff of four and indirectly nearly 40 staff, or about 60% of HSS’s 70 staff.  In addition, she will oversee services for around 50 clients in residential services and nearly 70 in day training/sheltered workshop.  Anne will manage program budgets that total almost $3 million.  As a member of the HSS Executive Team, she joins CFO Susan L Harbaugh, HR Director Doug Wood and Clinical Director Julie Ruckman; all are supervised by Executive Director Robert Cole.  HSS is a private not-for-profit agency established in 1973 and is always looking to serve additional clients.  It offers residential services for the mentally ill or developmentally delayed, day services, sheltered workshop opportunities, supported employment and housing targeted for those with developmental disabilities or struggling with mental illness.  If you know of a client in need of services, or one from another county that wants to relocate closer to loved ones, please contact HSS at 618-939-4444. Further information can be accessed on the HSS website at www.hss1.org.
